After the success of our last year's community impact event at
Ilunla Badagry which had over one hundred children and fifty adults compete
healthily in educational and sporting activities, inspiring talks and winning
special prizes donated by kind sponsors, and earning us a certificate of
participation from Play soccer, a non-profit arm of world football governing
body FiFa, iRead literacy wishes to
continue in our mission of promoting social interactions, community and human
development through literacy, arts, sports, and new media.
This year, as
part of our efforts towards a sustained
development and to mark our 4th year,
iRead Literacy Network plans to engage teenagers, children and all
interested persons in Aradagun community
in Badagry, and the communities of
Iworo-Ajido and surrounding riverine areas on Saturday December 14, 2013 in educational, Arts, sports activities and
inspiring talks from professionals in various fields.
This event will announce and kick start our FREE Community Library in Ilunla, Badagry.
THIS IS A CALL FOR
VOLUNTEERS, SPONSORS, DONORS, who are interested in giving either time to
speak with the children, and/or resources to aid the logistics of this project
like books (both old and new) and learning resources, furniture for library,
old or new computers, etc.
